Dr. Hop Dang is an independent arbitrator based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He has acted as chairman, tribunal member and sole arbitrator in a number of commercial arbitrations at the SIAC, VIAC, SCC, ICC, FAI and other institutions. He is also a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). Prior to setting his own arbitration chambers, he was a partner with an international law firm for a number of years. Dr. Hop Dang has taught in a number of law schools and is currently a senior fellow teaching on investment transactions and disputes in the Law Faculty of the University of Melbourne. He wrote his doctoral thesis at the University of Oxford on international law and state contracts.
